Company Profile

 

Susal Construction was founded in Pretoria by Jurie and Susan Snyman in 1981.
From the date of inception up to 1985 we undertook building of houses and alterations.
The company relocated to the Kwazulu-Natal South Coast in 1985.
We have undertaken various projects, irrespective of the size, including the renovation of Esmezee and the Kingsview Buildings, as well as building the new shopping/flat project on Margate main beach.
In 1996 Riaan Croucamp was appointed Contracts Manager for Susal Construction. Susan Snyman is actively involved in the daily administration of the company.

SOME AMUSING DEFINITIONS :

 

SUB-CONTRACTOR - A gambler who never gets to shuffle, cut or deal.

TENDER SUBMISSION - A poker game in which the losing hand wins.

TENDER SUM - A wild guess carried out to two decimal places

SUCCESSFUL TENDERER - A contractor who is wondering what he left out.

ARCHITECT'S ESTIMATE - The cost of construction in heaven.

MANAGEMENT CONTRACT - The technique of losing your shirt under perfect control.

COMPLETION DATE - The point at which liquidated damages begin.

LIQUIDATED DAMAGES - A penalty for failing to achieve the impossible.

QUANTITY SURVEYORS - People who go in after the war is lost and bayonet the wounded.

LAWYERS - People who go in after the Quantity Surveyors and strip the bodies.
